i learned something new today

ctrl + option + command + 8 = inverted colors all ova the place

Such a weird feature to decide to implement into mac OS. I do believe it makes it easier on the eyes after staring at a bright white screen for hours at a time, or so it would seem… which I suppose could have been the idea from the start. It just makes me wonder all of the other hidden features I’m missing out on. Which is why I’m starting to homeschool myself, starting today-  finding something every night/week and learning it.

also starting next year… hopefully I’ll have Logic by Jan or Feb, either express or Pro… I plan on writing a minimum of one composition every two weeks, be it dance or fake soundtrack or score or whatever.

Ok so the “elements” EP that has been in the works for over half a year, is winding down to a close. It took until now to realize how short these songs actually are… but nonetheless I am still pumped about it and given the way the lion king song turned out after mixing, I am also confident that it will end up sounding just the way it should and be sweet.

I thought about changing the structures slightly but decided against it… not only because I’m lazy and feel like getting them done, but because they need to remain how they are. These are the first songs I’ve written, not only for this band but also among the first 4 complete songs I have ever written, ever, and despite their abruptness they [were] the longest.

I’m hoping to have these all done, mixed and mastered, in January 2008. I do believe that I can obtain this…. the artwork is on its’ way as well and I plan on printing/pressing them myself.

I want this to work

Hi. Well hopefully I can get some use out of this – I started this to organize my thoughts and hopefully make things easier for me to think about.

At the moment I am putting together my resolutions for the new year. Probably because its an easier and more realistic way of thinking about getting things done, and in a limited amount of time. There are many things to get done and less time to do it in.

I wish there was more to say but there sure isn’t. I will be making it my business to keep up with this blog, very much unlike I have kept up with other blogs or similar ideas in the past.

I suppose I can conclude by transferring to here what I wrote on my DS in the car the other day:

That’s what I have now. Also Get Sexy 2008 starring Chris Brocius. A little inside, I know.
